Please be advised that the Consulate and our Embassy in Malaysia have no facility to issue a machine readable passport (MRP). Such applications have to be sent to the Passport Office in Dublin via diplomatic bag and the processing time for an MRP may take up to 4-5 weeks. There is no extra charge when applying for an MRP.

However, the APS2E form is required to be fully witnessed by an appropiate person as mentioned on the form (Member of the Clergy, School Principal, Practising Lawyer, Magistrate/Judge, Medical Doctor, (Assistant) Bank Manager, Police Officer)
