What sort of Visa do I need?

Other requirements which have to be submitted with listed documents for each category of visa are:

Three recent passport sized photographs
The full Travel schedule or provsional flight booking/ itinerary. Please note that travel tickets should not be bought until a decision has been made.
Visa fee of THB 2,820 for single entry and THB 4,700 for multiple entries. The Visa fee is gratis for spouse of Irish and EU citizen.
For faxing and photocopying, the communication cost is THB 400
(per person)

The fee is not refundable whether the visa is approved or not.

The standard processing time for a visa application could take approximately four weeks. Should the visa application/s be referred to Ireland , it may take an additional four to five weeks to process. To avoid delays in the issue of your visa, it is strongly advised that all applications are made at least EIGHT WEEKS prior to expected departure date and that all supporting documentation is included.

If visiting another EU member state prior to traveling to Ireland , the relevant visa for that country should be obtained before a visa for Ireland can be issued.

Original documents should be submitted. Where these are not in English they should be accompanied by a notarized translation. All documents must be clear and legible.

APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED THAT DO NOT INCLUDE ALL THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION, OR ARE ACCOMPANIED BY POOR QUALITY, ILLEGIBLE OR NON-TRANSLATED DOCUMENTS, WILL BE REFUSED.

NOTE:

Your application form should be fully completed. No question should be left blank.

You must sign the form yourself – nobody can sign it on your behalf. (Except in the case of a child under 18, whereby the parent(s) may sign on behalf of child).

Where a child under the age of 18 is travelling alone, the consent of both parents/guardians is required. If the child is travelling with one parent, the consent of the other parent is required. Where only one parent has total custody and access rights, official evidence of this must be provided.

The visa officer may request further information from you before making a decision as these requirements are intended to act as a guideline only and do not limit the discretion of the visa officer in determining individual applications.
